The degree in Translation and Interpreting in Portuguese Sign Language was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Three years full of challenges and learning. I went in with doubts, but I came out with certainties of what I’m capable of and the future I want to conquer. Thanks to the entire academic community, the fantastic teachers and the Deaf Community, I have grown not only as a professional, but also as a person. The School of Education was, and always will be, the home I hope to return to one day to learn more.

I’ve always been passionate about exercise and so, when it came to choosing what I wanted to do, there was no doubt in my mind: it had to be sport! Working today as a Technical Director and Pilates Teacher, I recognize the importance that the Sports Degree has had on my professional development. It’s been three years of a lot of study but also a lot of learning, which has allowed me to develop various skills that are essential to my professional career so far. In addition, I believe that the availability and proximity of the teachers at the ESE was a differentiating factor because it facilitated communication between student and teacher and, consequently, my learning process.
