The aim of this course is to train professionals capable of analysing information with biological significance, which is being produced in ever-increasing quantities as a result of the rapid development of technology.

Learning objectives and skills to be developed
Bioinformatics arises at the interface between the disciplines of Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Mathematics and is an emerging area that has been strongly driven by genome sequencing. The combination of skills and knowledge obtained provides a solid basis for a wide range of employment opportunities or further study to master's or doctoral levels.
This course allows access to the Order of Technical Engineers and is a partnership course with the Setúbal Higher Schools of Technology, Business and Health Sciences. -
